The horse at that exhibition took second prize. He competed against ﬁve of the best Clydesdale horses that are owned in the Maritime Provinces, and it reﬂects great credit on Mr. Stockman who purchased the horse out of the late Queen Victoria‘ stables, for the Local Government, w llst in England, to know that he was able to successfully compete with the horses of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. We learn that the horse that carried off the first prize, awarded it because he weighed heavier than Crown Rights but that in all other
