After roll call drill. the-Company was inspected by the Provincial Commissioner, who found Dllys Owen's Patrol (the kingfisher-s) to be the neatest patrol in the Com- pany. During “corner time” ‘the guests visited each patrol in its corner. and were shown the many original and useful patr-ol posses- sions which the girls have been working on for several weeks.

At the close of the meeting the Guidm gathered around their campfire and several of the Com- pany's fill/Bribe songs were sung. The Provincial Commissioner and the Provincial Secretary each kind- ly spoke a few words to the girls

Sydney Lad ls Burned To Death

(C. P. By Guardian's Special Wire) SYDNEY, N. 5.. March 1l—Six- year old John Livingstone was burned to death a; Ben min, 30 miles from here, in a fire early to- day and Edward Petrie was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.

Aroused by the heat of the ilaihcs and smell of smoke. Pctrie aided his wife and three-month old infant to escape before attempting to enter the room where Livingstone was sleeping.

Petrie. 35-year old man who owned the bungalow. was badly burned in his eﬂorts to rescue his youthful visitor. and was rushed to a. Byd. ney hospital for treatment.
