The receipts of eggs are increasing but

last report. They vow bring 8&4 cente.

The price of potatoes has also gone down a peg and the buyers quotations range trom 30 to 35 cenus. Some smal! lots changed hands at the latter figure on Wednesday.

Wats are quoted at 40 cents by the wholesale buyers, with not very many offering.

The quantity of live pork coming in is not very great. Bacon bogs bring 5 cents and beary fats from 44 to 4} cents.

The Montreal Gazette reports that the cheese market does not show anv signs of improvement, and it begins to look as though the factorymen would have to accept 7c, and possibly less, for their June make, unless the future brings radical asd eudden change. TWO LOBSTER FACTORIES.

New and Improved Processes for the Crustacean.

Your correspondent visited two well equipped lobster factories,» at Lauyching Point, on the evening of the 24th and the morning of the 25th.Mar. ‘The factories are owned and operated®by JE Giant Charlottetown, and D C Moron, Cardigan Bridge. Both factories are large, wel! equipped, and kept trim and scrupulously clean. Mr. Thomas Walsb, is manager, for Mr Grant,and his son Mr Joho Walsh, seder, and accountant. Mr. Grant has « large force of eu and boats, aad abour 6000 traps.

Your correspondent has no knowledge of tne vumber of cases packed by that firm, but understands that Morrow’s factory packed to date of 25th May, 540 cases of 4 lb, flats Mr. Morrow’s factory bas 25 boats 2 men to each, besides other help. Many young women and girls earn fair wages during the lobster season and are quite a dioit in the packing rooms. Mr. Iunocent Campbell, is manager, and Mr. James Mc- Millan, has cbarze of tbe packing depart- ment, both experienced and cvourteous gentlemen. It wasa nice sight to see the large platform, or table, which was clean and empty in the evening filled with the
