DUTIES --
Under direction. to plan, organize. develop and teach courses in mathematics, drafting, blue- print reading and science. as related to various trades, to inmates engaged in vocational train- ing; to perform duties as required in areas such as Inmate Management. Vocational Guidance. Safety and other duties as may be required by the Institutional Head.
QUALIFICATIONS --
Grade 12 or equivalent; matriculation from Tech- nical High School preferred: formal apprentice- ship, journeyman status, and some supervisory experience in at least one trade; some knowledge and experience of other trades; Good knowledge of related subjects including mathematics, draft- ing, blueprint reading, technical language and science as related to various trades and occupa- tions; preference for practical experience in an architect’s or engineer’s office. or occupation re- quiring the application 0f related trade subjects at a higher level. Verified teacher training or experience in instructional techniques preferred: good knowledge of apprenticeship methods and training systems. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in man-management. preferably in a training situation. Leadership, reliability, ‘good Judgement, tact, physical fitness. good appear- ance.
