ANNULAR ECLIPSE OF THE SUV.

Preparation are being made to take ob servations of the annular eclipse of the sun, which will take place on Juy 29. The ditf-rence between an annular and a total eclipse is that with the former there remains a ring of ligbt around the margin of the shadow, the resnit of the moo beivg nearer to the sun and farther from us than curing a tots! eclipse. The eclipse will be vis:ble as a partial eclipse through- out Canada, the United States, Mexico and the northern part of South America The path of the annular will begin in the Pacific Ocean, pass across Mexico, Cuba and a few of the Windward Islands, will touch Cape St. Roque and end in the South Atlantic Ocean.
