With all the controversy of hockey raging and the base- ball season just getting underway the forgotten sport now —_ is basketball. College basketball teams seem to wither and fade away come the spring but it is not just a coincidence. Spring is just not a time for playing basketball in the*eyes of the thousands of sporting fans across the country f it would interfere with the hockey’ finals and the inevital beginning of the baseball. season. . ;

Neverthel@ss despite the lack of attention that the sport gets.it continues to expand in Canada and the Maritimes have been one of the hot beds of this expansion. In collegiate i basketball, everyone in Canada associates the name of Acadia University of Wolfville N.S. with the top collegiate aggregations in the country. But too the average person that is where their interest in basketball ceases. :
