Suir Deck Comes Asnorr.—On Sunday last the deck of a ship floated into St. Peter’s Island, which from its appearance presumably belonged to a passerger ship. It hada beam of 35 feet, the length of the piece being sbout 45 feet, It likely belonged to some ship that had + uffered ia ‘he recent storm. But it now belongs to the people of St Peter’s Island, who pave secured some excellent pine from it.

Teacuers Depart.—At Vernon River School, yesterday afternoon, the teachers, Miss Amy M. Carver and Miss 8 J Mc- Isaac, took leave of their echool, A half heliday was given the pupils, ani they, with their parents and frierde, assembled on the lawn, where lunch was served. The teachers were each presented with an address and gift, Mise Carver's being a beautiful writing deek, and Miss Mclesac’s a purse of gold, Mises Carver leaves Monday for Boston to take a course in the Emerson School of @ratory, She is asister of Mr. Percy Carver, lawyer, resi- dent in that city.
