MIS. Win. Rogers entertained the October meeting of the Wom- en's Institute at her home in Lower Freetown on the afternoon of Oct. 26. when twelve members and three visitors answered the roll call.

The president opened the meet.- lng tn the_usua.l way and the mlnutesvof last meeting were read and adopted. The treasurer re- ported that the missing window panes had been replaced in she school, also the dustbane had been bought. Mrs. Stanley Hyde entertained the members of Meadow Bank W.I. for their October meeting. Meeting opened in the usual man- ner with the presldent presiding. Bills amounting to $6.02 were pre- sented and ordered paid. Mrs. I‘. Scott and Mrs. S. Clow offered to store school window boxes for the ‘winter months. The secretary was asked to purchase cod liver olt capsules, Correspondence was read and discussed and a, letter of thanks for sympathy extended was received. The school commit- tee nrc to purchase dustbane for the school. The members decided to pack woollens to be sent away in exchange for blankets.

Miss Laura Crosby invited the members for the November meet.- ing when the roll will be answer- ed with the annual membership fee. Miss Jean Boyle, Mrs, L.H.
