—_— Fire.—A stable owned by Patrick Kelly, and situated in the rear of his residence on Edward Street, was destroyed by tire abut noon to-day. A horse for which Mr. Kully had only lately refused $100 was burnt, also a valuable pig, a quantity of harness, and the winter's stock of hay, oats, ete. The stable was insured for $59. There was no insurance ou the horse or the other pro- perty destroyed. Mr. Kelly tried hard to rescue the horse but failed in the attempt after getting the hair on his head singed. How the fire originated is not known. A man who was working with Mr. Kelly was in the stable about twenty minutes to twelve putting up the horse, and he noiiced no signs of fire about the place.
