HEREAS the General Assembly of this Island stands

prorogued until Thursday, the Nineteenth day of Decem- ber. instant: I have thought (it, by and with the advice of Her Majesty’s Executive Council, further to prorognc the said General Assembly, and the same is hereby prorogned until THURSDAY, the Twentyothird day of JANUARY next, of which all persons concerned are required to take notice and govern themselves accordingly.

Given under my hand and the Great Seal of this Island. at Charlotte- town, in the said Island, this Seventeenth do]; of December, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven, and in the Thirtyfirst year of Her Majesty‘s reign.

'1‘ having been brought to the notice of His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor in Council, that the Honorable EDWARD Wanna, who held the office of Her Majesty’s Printer in this Island, departed this life on the Tenth day of December, instant, and that it was therefore necessary to make some provision for the issuing, under authority, of the Royal Gazette newspaper, until the appointment of a successor to Mr. WHELAN in the above office: It is ordered, that the Executors of the Will of the late Honorable EDWARD WHELAN, namely—tho Honorables Daniel Brenan and James Warhurton, or either of them, be requested and authorised to issue the Royal Gazette newspaper, from the office of the late Honorable EDWARD WHELAN, until the appoint- ment, as aforesaid, of his successor; and that the same, when so issued, shall be the Royal Gazette newspaper of this Island. Ordered. That a copy of the above Order be, forthwith, furnish- ed to the Houorahles Daniel Brenan and James Warburton, and that the same shall be sufficient authority in respect of the said
