Council Office, MAY 7th, 1867. HIS Excellency the Lieutenant Governor in Council was

this day pleased to fix and determine the rate at which the amount of the Invoice of Dutiablc Goods. imported into this Island from the United States of America, shall, in estimating the duties payable thereon, be reduced into current money of the Island, as follows:—

In all cases where such Invoices shall be made out in Dollars and Cents ofthe paper currency of the United States, the amount of such Invoice shall be reduced into current money of this Island, by allowing for each Dollar the sum of FOUR SHILLINGS AND SIX-I’ENCE, and in the like proportion for any fraction of a Dol- lar; of which all Collectors of Impost are to take notice and govern

FIXED I.lGllT'IN GASPE BAY. THE Trinity House at Quebec has given Notice that during

the season the navigation is open, a Light will be exhibited on the Peninsula in Gaspe Bay, 12 miles N. W. by N. from Cape Gaspe.

The light is a fixed white light, elevated 40 feet above the level of the sea, with the following bearings from it :— Cape Haldimand, South. Gaspe Basin, W. 1} S. The light is intended to serve as a guide to vessels passing. between Sandy Beach and the main land Opposite. [All Bearings are Magnetic.
