Mrs. J. Y. MacFadyen. Mrs. Robert Carruthers and Mrs. L. M. Murray of Kenslngton were the leaders. - :

A cordial welcome was extended by Mrs. Hammond Johnstone of Summerslde who noted by the large. attendance an apparent. increase in mission work was evident.

Mrs. Hszen Howard, president of the Presbyterial replied and said that this was a happy and united band of women and she desired to leave this thought in mind "At- tempt great things for God and ex- pect great things of God."

Unusual Sequel To Theft From Automobile Case

In Magistrates Court at Sum-

two 17-year-old Summerside youths who appeared on behalf of a young man from Summerside charged with theft from a car at Bedeque rink. was such that both witnesses were placed under arrest. at the conclusion of their testimony on behalf of the accused.

This unusual development was the sequel of an event that hap- pened at Bedcquc Rink on Monday night, January 12th.

The case involves the alleged men or an auto rug. spare tire and wheel from the car of a Cape Trav- erse man. The articles were found in the car of the Summe ” man. who denied all knowledge of them. The two youths admitted taking the articles and. placing them in the car of the Summerside man, with whom they had gone to the 881110-

subsequently they were ordered to be placed under arrest and 10118- cd in Prince County Jail. They will appear later before Magistrate Hinton.

The Summerside man is not un- der arrest. Hls case was adjorunied until January 23.
