Count Andrassy has made a further state- wnent in various committees of delegations, exolaining that the declaration of Auatro- Hungary interests was handed to Russia before the war, and Russia acknowledged that it was well founded. He emphatically denied that the Government contemplated otdering a mobilization as soon as the credit was noted. The Government desired to be provided with means, showing that the monarchy is capable of protecting its inter- ests; but they could not take the respunsi- bility of appearing at great cost in a state of military preparation before the Congress, from whose deliberations a satisfactory un- derstanding was anticipated. le denied Various repoits that actual measures for mobilizution had been taken, or that an ordere de bataille was already drawn up.

At the Stipendiary Magistrate's Court, this morning, James Leahy was arraigned for assaulting James Helm. He was re- manded until to-morrow. Peter Keenan, Michael Daffy and John Murphy were also arraigned for assaulting Gerald Cavanagh. rhis case was brought three times before the Court. This time it resulted in the first nimed—Keenan—being fined $2 and costs. Michael Clinton, drunk and incapable, was fined $2 or 8 days.
