Mr. Jabezl 'I‘revor and Mr. Harry Williams have clear, ringing tenor voices of quite unusual power and range. And. of course. as in fact. did all the vocalists, they brough; to their interpretations a. rare glf); of true artistic insight. _

Mr. Howell Williams, baritone and Mr. Jack Newbury, bass, have mag- nificent breadth oftons colour, in their several departments, combined with great range. These qllllmt! were also exhibited by Mr. Wilfred Jones in the fine dust number which he sang with Mr. ‘Trevor.

The splendid musical background fur rushed by MnG. Lloyd Roberts at the piano mun, also be mentioned. One has rarely heard an accompanist who so sympathetically followed thg in- terpretation of the soloists.

This is not. the first visit of the Imperial singers to this province. ft will be recalled that we were privil- eged to hear them last September, at which tima they sang in ' Trin- ity United church. This, of course. imposed certain restrictions on thv nature of the programme, rendered at that time; but last night the singers had a chance to show what they could do—and they did it, superlatively wall.

I-Ion. J. P. Maclntyre, Minister of Pulblic Works, who has returned from Montreal. states that the Good Roads Convention will be held in Charlottetown September 1'1, 1B and 10th.. at Beach Grove Inn. It is ex- pected that. there will be delegatns from every province in Canada.

Mr. Maclfntyrc while in Montreal had an interview with Mir. Mac- Nameg, secretary Treasurer of the Good Roads, Association of Canada. and Mr. Squires, chainnan of the ex- ecutive committee, and former Dep- uty Minister nf Highways of Ontar- io. These three gentlemen also conferred with Mr. Theodore Mor- gan, one of the directors of the Good Roads Association. As ti result. it was decided that the convention be held in Charlottetown.
