HOLLOWAY’S OINTMENT.

Bad Legs, Bad Breasts, Sores and Ulcers-

All description of Sores are remediable by the preper and diligent Ree of this inestimable prepatetion. To attempt to eure bad lege by plastering the edges of the wound together is = felly; for should the akin unite, » boggy diseased condition remains underneath to break out with tenfold fury in « few days. The only rational and successful treat ment, as indicated by nature, is to reduce the inflammation in and about the found, and to soothe the neighbouring parts by rubbing in plenty of the Ointment as salt is foreed into meat. This will cause the malignant bemours to be drained off from the hard, swollen and discoloured parts round about the wound, sore or ulcer, and when these humours are re- moved the wounds themselves will soon heal; warm bread and water pottitiees applied over the affected parts, after the Ointment has been well rubbed in, will soothe and soften the same, and greatly assist the eure. There is a descrip'ion of ulcer, sore, and swelling which need not be named here, attendant upon the follies of youth, and for which this Ointment is urgently recommended asa sovereign remedy. In curing such peisonows sores it never fails to restore the system to # healthy state if tre Pills be taken ace rding to the printed instructions.

Diptheria, Uleerated Sore Throat, and Scarlet and other Fevers.

Any of the above diseases may be cured by well rubbing the Ointmen: three times a day into the chest, throat and neck of the patient; it will avon penetrate, and give immediate relief. Medicine taken by the mouth must operate tpon the whole rystem cre its influence can be felt »n any iwoal part, Whereas the Ointment will do its work at once. Whoever tries the unguent in the sbove manner for the diseases named, or any similar disorders affecting the chest and throat, wil: find themselves re- lieved as by a charin. All sufferers from these complaints should en- velope the throat at bed time in @ large bread and water poultice after the Cintment has been well rubbed in; and if the soles of the feet are likewise rubbed with the Ointment every night, it will greatly assist the eure of the throat and chest. To allay the fever and lessen inflamma- iow, eight or ten Pills should be taken night and morning The Ointment will produce iration, the grand essential im all cases of fevers, sore throats, or where there might be au oppression of the cheat either from

eatbme or other causes. : Piles, Fistulas, Strictures-

The above class of complaints is surely removed by nightly fermenting the parts with warm Water, sad then by effectually rubbing in the Vint- ment. Persons suffering froin these direful complaints should lose not « moment in arresting their progress. It should be understood that it is tot woficient merely to smear the Ointment on the affeeted parts, but ft wast be well rubbed in for scme considerable time two or three times a day, that it may be taken into the system, whence it will remove any hidden sore or wound as effectually as though palpable to the eye. Tuere again bread and water poultices, after the rubbing in of the Oint- moot, will do great service. This is the only sure treatment for females, eares of cancer in the stomach, or where there may be a general bearing down.

Imprudencies of Youth;---Sores and Ulcers.

Blotehes, as also swellings, can with certainty be radically cured if the Ointment be used freely, and the Pills te taken night and morning ae recomended in the printed instructions. When treated in any other way they onty dry up in one place to break out in another; whereas this Ointment will remove the bumour from the system, and leave the pstient a vigorousand healthy being. It will require time with the use of the Pills to ensure @ lasting cure.

Dropsical Swellings, Paralysis and Stiff Joints. Although the abeve complaints difer widely in their origin and na- ture, yet they all require ‘vocal treatment. Many of the worst eases of wach diseases will yield, ip a comparatively short epnce of time, when this Ointment is diligently rubbed into the parts affected, even after every other méens bavd failed. In al! serious maladies the Pilla should be taken according to the printed directions acoompany ing each box.

is a constitutivnal disease, a cotfuption of.the blood, by which this fluid beevrhes vitiated, weak, and poor, Berg in the circulation, it por dea the whole body, and may burst out in disease on an part of it. uently, vast numbers perish by disorders which, although not scrofulous in their nature, are still rea- deted fatal by this taint in the system. Most of the consumption which decimates the human family has its origin directly in this scrofulous contamina- tion; and many destructive diseases of the liver, kidneys, brain, and, indeed, of all the organs, arise from or are aggravated by the same cause.

One quarter of all our people are scrofulous; their persons are invaded by this lurking infection, and their health is undermined by it. To cleanse it from the we must renovate the blood by an alterative medicine, and invigorate it by healthy food and exercise. Such a medicine we
