Deatu or An Is_anpER.—The Winni- peg Tribune of August 12 says: Early Sunday morning there died at the resi-~ dence of his son, J. Herbert Haslam, Headingly, at the advarced age of 81 years, Thomas Haslam, who for the past two yeare has resided in Manitoba. Mr. Haslam was avative of Queen’s county, Ireland, but removed ata very early age with his parents to Prince Edward Island, where his family took up land and where they now farm a considerable portion of the community. Mr. Haslam, in spite of his advanced age, was active up ti)! about two years ago, since which time he has been gradually failing, though only con-~ fined to his bed for the past week. The cause of death was old age, represented ina genera] breaking down of the system. The funeral takes place to Headingly cemetery at 3 o’clock today. Rev. A. 4. Cowley, of St. James, conducts the ser~ vice.
