The league gets underway next Wednesday with all entries seeing action in a triple—header.

Student cards which will ad- mit students to skating and hoc- key activities at reduced prices are available again this year and can be had by contacting manager Hogan.

The stadium has been given a facelifting for this season. Its interior has been completely re- decorated. All dressing rooms, lobbies, exits. canteens, railing and boards have been painted in a variety of blending colors.

The administration of the town-owned stadium is con- ducted by a committee of the Town Council under chairman Councillor W. E. MacCausland.

Perkins, flashing good combina- tions, Wednesday night ham- mered out a unanimous lO-round decision over Frankie Ryrff in a lightweight scraip in Chicago Sta- dium. Perkins, 21 - year . old Chicago youngster who gained his 12th victory in 16 starts, floored the veteran New Yorker with a short' right in the third round. Ryff took a mandatory eight.

Perkins landed an overhand right before the third was fin- ished and made Ryff‘s nose bleed. In the fourth, he hurt Ryff with a right and in the fifth Ryff was bleeding from a gash on his left eyebrow.

Perkins also bled from the nose and from a slight cut under his left eye.

Each weighed 138 pounds. It was Ryff's first ‘defeat in his last six bouts and gave the 26-year- old converted southpaw an over- all record of 24—9.
