An emergency situation creat- ed through a combination of the long wet summer and conse- quent inability to finish the wat- er and sewage connections for the new Co-Op Housing group on North River Road has led to a forced temporary solution by city authorities.

The line which has been run as far as the end of the proper- ty formerly owned by F. A. S. Jones will be diverted from that point on the shore bank to the North River by a pipe line ex- tending from the shore.

Building of a cribwork and a plentiful su p ply of gravel will prevent the exudation of so- lids and only liquids will go in- to the river.

SOLUTION FORCED

The temporary solution to the problem created by the neces- sity of many co-operative hous- ing owners having to move into their new homes was announc- ed last night by Sidney Green, chairman of the Commissioners of Sewers and Water Supply.
