The following awards are just some of those currently available to students. St. Dunstan’s University Board of Governors Scholarship Awards. A limited number of scholarships in the amount of $500 will be awarded to Catholic students planning to attend university in the fall of 1996. These are renewable for four univer- sity years, provided satisfactory academic

standards are maintained.

To be eligible students must meet the following criteria:

1. Have an average of at least 65% (an official transcript of final marks for the year is required.)

2. Bea practising Roman Catholic.

3. Have a letter of recommendation forwarded from parish priest or pastor.

4. Attach copy of conditional acceptance from university planning to attend.

5. Submit completed application by May 1, 1996. :

Fessenden-Trott Scholarships

Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents. This award is available to undergraduate students who are completing their first year of a university program, and have attained high academic standing. The duration of the award is for three years or until the scholars obtain their first degree, whichever occurs first. Applications are by nomina- — tion only. UPEI may nominate only one candidate. Applications for nomination may be picked up from file 70 at Student Services. The deadline for applications at UPEI is May 15, 1996.

Prince Edward Island Council of the Disabled Trust -- Alice and Bruce Roy Memorial Scholarships

Assistance for students with a disability is available from the Alice and Roy Bruce Memorial Scholarship Fund. Students must be under the age of 19 at the time of application and a resident of PEI. The scholarship may be renewed annually.

Individuals may apply for assist- ance from the Trust Fund by completing the application form and returning it to the Council of the Disabled by June 30 of each year. Applications are in file 134 at Student Services.

Please note : both the Imasco Schol- arship Program and the Mattinson Scholar- ship Program are available to disabled students again this year. More information as well as application forms are available from files 87 and 111 respectively. The deadline for both applications is June 1.

4-H Scholarships

This year three $1000 scholarships are available to students: The Prince Edward Island 4-H Council Scholarship; The Co-operators 4-H Scholarship, and; The Farm Credit Corporation Scholarship.
