We copied it short notice from the Islander, announcing the arrival of Mr. Pcrley and Mr. Cushman, the Uoininissiouers appointed by U10 British and .-Iinoricun Governments respective- ly, to settle the boundaries of the free fishery to be enjoyed by the subjects of the United States in coiniuon with those of the Colonies. As some of otir roadrs may wish to be better informed of the utiture of the duties oftheso gentlemen, we will endeavour to enlighten them on the subject. By the late treaty between the two nations, coiumoiily called the Reciprocity treaty, the people of the United States are to be a lowed to take fish in all parts of the coasts of these colonics,ext-cpl: the rivers. The words of the treaty are as follows :
