“Not unless he comes ia here some time with wings on,” says the doctor. “L guess Jack is gone. He sailed in hisdory from St. Joho’s N. F., for England on Sept. 25. If he was alive,I éhiak he would have been heard from by thistime, I think he wasrun down and sunk by some vessei when he was about ten days out. The sea could not have hurt that boat. She was so con- structed that if she was upset she would flop right up again, and was as strong as wood and iron could make her. If she is lost, she was cut in two by some large eral.
