But he said he had money at nome — and that’s where he wanted to go when taxi driver Jean Jacques Lauzon delivered the sandy-haired baron and his attractive wife to a police sta- tion.

As a result, Lord Shaughnessy was arrested and charged with failing to pay the $1.55 fare. His wife was also arrested and charged with failing to move on when ordered by a policeman. UNDER ADVISEMENT

So he said he drove them to the police station and asked a constable to remove them’ as “undesirables.”

The police suggested that Lord Shaughnessy telephone friends to pay the bill. but he dechined be cause of the time, saying that if he could be taken home, he could pay the bill.
