Lasi evening I had the pleasure of lis- tening: to the Rev. Dr, Leeming, deliver his celebrated lecture on Daniel O'Connell. It was 4 wonderful oratorical effort. It has the impress of true eloquence, from begianing to end. He deseribed the Great Tribune as child youth and leader of a warm hearted peeple, struggling and suffering for Freedom. The applause was loud and long when the gifted orator, carried the spell-bound audience to scenes rendered sacred by the voice and labors of the Liberator. His description of the Hill ot Tara where the uucrowned Menarch of Ire- land, gathered tegether one million of Vrin’s children to protestagainst the wrongs inflicted on their unhappy country, caused the tender tear-drops to glisten, on the eye-lids of many an Irishman.
