FOLLOWING ARE THE TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR THE ABOVE-NAMED BURSARY:

|. Recipient must be a Junior or Senior student living in Bernardine Hall who has lived there for at least two years.

2. Must have an average of 65% or better in last semester's work and passing grade in all five subjects.

3. Must write a personal essay about what she/he has participated in during her/his years in residence. How has she/he promoted spirit in Bernardine Hall?

4. Selection to be made by a committee from the Department of Student Services (composed of the Residence Manager or Co- ordinator of Residence Program, Director of Student Services, and one counsellor) with final approval given by the re. and Bursary Committee.

5. Selection to be made in conjunction with other bursaries awarded from the Memorial Bursary Fund. Application forms are available at the Registrar's Office or at Student Services. Closing date for applications is FRIDAY, 11 FEBRUARY 1994.

UNFORTUNATELY, CHRISTMAS IS OVER AND we all have to start going back to class, and some have to move back into their apartments and rooms. So, to help you people choose your roommates, we thought that we would provide you with this list.

Reasons Why Not To Room With A Bio (a.k.a. Smellius brainless)

|. They smell of formaldehyde.

2. You always find half-dissected specimens in the fridge.

3. You always find a dirty scalpel in the knife drawer.

4. They are constantly testing their urine for -monococtyl bacteria.

5. They use toilet water for samples. 6. They can’t go to the bathroom without describing the process.

7. You can’t keep pets, because the pet will -

become severely traumatized.

8. Their teddy bear is a skeleton since they can't find anyone else and they always seem to wake up with a smile on their face.

9. Never leave BEvERages in the fridge, it might become the new home ofa fruit fly culture. 10. Bios travel in herds. Let one in, you let them all in.

As a final note, the X-Press appears to have been omitting our heading. We've been told it is because of lack of space. They apparently don’t know how to use a photocopier. If you feel that we should have our heading back again, feel free to contact the X-Press and maybe we'll see about sending over a technical advisor on how to shrink things with the

“The Blue Castle’ A Revival

of the 1993 hit musical

. THEATRE PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND'S REVIVAL of the 1993 hit musical play, The Blue Castle, by Hank Stinson can be seen on the main stage of the Confederation Centre in Charlottetown on March 3rd, 4th and Sth, 1994. Curtain time is 8 p.m.

THE BLUE CASTLE, based on the well- known story by L.M. Montgomery, received its premiere production from Theatre P.E.I. last year to critical acclaim and sold-out houses, clearly demonstrating its wide audience appeal. The play won first prize for author Hank Stinson in Theatre P.E.I.'s New voices Playwriting Competition in 1992.

Canadian director and choreographer Kelly Robinson, recently returned from staging the new Sharon, Lois and Bram show in New York, will lead the production which will feature Kelti MacMillan in the leading role. Ms. MacMillan, a native of P.E.l., will follow THE BLUE CASTLE with an appearance in LES MISERABLES at the Neptune Theatre, Halifax. THE BLUE CASTLE will once again draw on local Island acting talent to provide a strong supporting cast, making this a truly community production.

Wild T is playing the Barn!! Thursday, Jan 20 Wild T will be putting on his electrifying show. Tickets are only $5 and you can bet you'll get your money's worth. Hear his current hits “Midnight Blues”, and “Love Crazy”. Wild T and the Spirit, fresh from their tour with Bon Jovi, says of his audience, “I try to project out to them and feel them myself. We exchange karma with theaudience.” Heavy stuff. Need we say more?

Saturday, Jan 22 also promises to be a “large” day. The Barn will be open at four o'clock for the annual NHL all-star game, and following the game it’s time to rumble-- the WWF Royal Rumble, that is. The Royal Rumble is probably the most exciting wrestling event to watch, as over twenty wrestlers battle it out to see who will be the last one standing. We had well over four hundred people for our last event, so get here early for a great seat-- but actually, every seat is great as -we'll have the giant ten-foot screen set up again on the second floor. This event is also open to those under nineteen years of age. Tickets are six dollars and will be on sale at seven o'clock.

Weill give you a couple of days rest and the fun begins again on Wednesday with Whetherman (yes that's the correct spelling) Groove Tube-- and best of all, it’s free. We said “what the __,” let's have a freebie night.

After you've recovered from Wednesday, Thursday is a night of hilarious comedy in the Lounge. The Atomic Improv Company will take their “brave” comedy to the stage. They actually make up a show of comedy by using suggestions from the audience (that should be really interesting around here!).

Oh well, here goes. We've been trying to keep ita secretas long as possible. Blue Rodeo is coming back to the Barn on February 2nd as the kick-off night for Winter Carnival. Tickets are fifteen dollars and will go on sale January 19th, or you can buy a Winter Carnival pass for only twenty-two dollars. This pass is good for Blue Rodeo on the 2nd, The Waltons on
