Pretty Autumn Held At Trinity
Trinity United Church, Char- lottetown. was the setting for a very pretty wedding at. 3 o’- clock. Saturday, September the 20th, when Grace Myrtle, daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs. Edison Mac- Donald, Covehead, became the bride of Darrell Edwin Worth, Charlottetown. Reverend A. Frank MacLean performed the double ring ceremony.
The church was very tastefiidly decorated witlh baskets of gla- dioli, dablla and fern. The guest pews were marked with white tulle and pompoms. Mr. Royston F. Mugford played the wedding music and accompanied Mr. .133. Lewis as he song, “The Voice That Breathed O'er Eden”. preceding the ceremony and “0, Perfect Love” during the signing of the register.
The bride. given in marriage by her father, was lovely in a door length gown of white Ghan- tllly lace and nylon tulle over satin. fashioned with a Sabrina neckline and a fitted bod-ice, fas— tened in back with tiny covered but-tons. extending below the waist. The hooped skirt fell in two tiers. each appliqued with a wide band of lace and all cas- cading over a final undershirt of nylon tulle. Her finger tip veil of nylon tulle was held in place with a tiara of rhinestones and sequins. Her only jewellery was small pearl earrings, a gift of the groom. She carried a cas- cade bouquet. of red roses.
The maid of honor, Miss Viv- ian MacDonald. sister of the bride wore a pink ballerina length- gown of nylon lace and net with matching mitts and headdress.

The bridesmaid, Miss Edna Ross, wore a blue ballerina length gown of nylon chiffon with match- ing mitts and headdress. She carried a basket of mixed mums. The flowengirl, little Miss Peg- gy Chandler. wore a short frock of yellow nylon chiffon with mat— ching mitts and bandeau. She carried a basket of red baby- roses.
Mrs. MacDonald oliose for her daughter's wedding a trapeze dress of sapphire blue, embossed taffeta with navy ind white ac- cessories and a corsage of pink carnations.
The groom's mother was at— tired in a light gray suit with pink accessories and a corsage of roses.
The groom was attended by Mr. Lowell Watts. The ushers were Mr. Clayton MacDonald, and Mr. David Lee.
Following the ceremony a re— ception was held for 80 guests
at the Queen Hotel. The bride’s table was decorated with mixed flowers, centered with a, three- tier wedding cake, topped with a miniature bride and groom. Tthe toast to the bride was pro- posed by Mr. Ira Lewis and re sponded to by the groom. Miss Lillian Warren was in charge of the guest book.
For travelling the bride chose a grey chemise dress and black

One of the highlights in the 75th anniversary celebration of the founding of Dalhousie Law School which was held last week in Halifax, was the unveiling of a portrait of the late Donald A. MaciRae, Q.C., Ph.D., L.L.D., (Dean of Dalhousie Law Faculty, 19141924) by his son, Mr. Donald MacRiae, professor of Astronomy, Toronto University.
Doctor Mathae will be remem— bered for many outstanding ach— ievements, one of which was the posting of Sidney E. Smith (now the Secretary of State for Ex- ternal Affairs in the Dominion Cabinet) to Harvard University for the purpose of what is called the “case method” of teaching law. The following year this me thod was introduced at Dal-hous- ie and today the “case method” introduced and administered by Dr. MacRae is used throughout the common law schools in Can— ada. Thus many courses were strengthened and standards rais- e-d.
Charlottetown Rotarians will re. call Doctor MacRae’s name with the organization of the Charlotte- town Club in September 1917 and the drafting of the present con-
stitution of Rotary International. Dr. MacRae was a native of Can— oe Cove, Prince Edward Island, a sister Mrs. Ellen MacKinnon lives at York Lane. Charlotte- town.
Mr. Sterling Cantelo, Burling— ton, Ontario, is spending an en— joyable fall vacation on. Prince Edward Island. Mr. Cantelo will visit in various parts of the pro- vinice, including Hampshire. Chopped beef pie with corn- meal crust: In mising bowl. com- bine 11/2 lbs. chopped lean beef. 1 tsp. monosodium glutamated tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper, 1 tsp. Worcesterst and 3/4. c. tomato juice. Mix with fork to distribute seasoning. Press gently oiled 9-in. pie plate.

Chopped beef stew-onwttoast (by request): In bowl, place 11/2 lbs. chopped or ground beef. Sprinkle over 1 tsp. monosodium glutam» ate and 1 tsp. salt. Mix with fork to break up meat and distrbutc seaonlngs.
Add 2 c. soup stock or beef bouillon (or 2 c. water and 2 tsp. broth powder). Stir in contents 1 (1 lb.) can tomato. crushed with fork. Add 1 bay leaf.
Bring to boil, then add 3 diced, peeled medium potatoes, 6 quar- tered. peeled medium carrots and 12 peeled. whole small on— was.
