' The April meeting of the Corn- wall-York Point W. I. met with Mrs. Arthur Howard on Monday evening. April 3rd. with 25 mem- bers present.

Meeting opened with Institute Ode followed by Creed in unison. Minutes of the March meeting were read and approved. Roll call was responded to by naming a "Houscciean' Hint."

Treasurer reported 819.30 pro. ceeds from pantry sale. Mrs. Mu- riel Godfrey read a letter of thanks from the adopted Institute in England. and it was decided to send them another box of load.

Correspondence was then read consisting of a letter from Mrs. Robertson thanking members for "get-well card" and one from A-udrey Ball thanking members for treat.

It was moved and seconded that the Institute give 310.00 to the Red Cross Canvass and that the teach- ers be asked to do the Canvass here. secretary reported Govern- ment Grant of 32.72 received. Meeting asked that a new handbtiuk be procured for secretary. Next place of meeting is to be held at the home of Mrs. Wm. Mclvcr, lunch committe to be Mrs. Wm. Mclvor and Mrs. Machauchldn. The April meeting ol the Plus- vilic Women's Institute was held on Friday evenink. the Myth, at the home of Mrs. John J. Corcoran.

The president, Mrs. Nelson Gal- lant opened the meeting with pray- er. Twenty-one members answered the roll call, which was "My Fa- vourlto supper Dish." This pro- vided heiplul ideas (or the house- wives. The secretary-treasurer read the minutes of the last meeting and the treasurers report. The various committees reported satisfactorily, excepting the sick committee, who was absent. The Iollowlng com- mittees were appointed tor the next month: School - Mrs. Cyrus Gal- lant; sick - Mrs. Fred Gallant; Sandwich committee - Ciarisse Gallant, Mrs. J. J. Corooran. Mrs. John F. MILLVIEW W.

The- regular monthly meeting of the Millview W. I. was held at the school on April 5, with an at- tendance ot 7 members, and 2 visi- tors. The meeting opened singing Ode, followed by Creed. Minutes of last meeting were read, approved. and signed. Mrs. Charles Mac Kenzie (teacher) gave, 3 very en- couraging report from the school Inspector, concerning cieaniness of school. Great credit was also given the children in this respect.

(Music Teacher) complimenting the children in their splendid progress. and parents were very happy to hear she has a junior group orga- nized ror the Festival. It was moved and second that 31.00 be sent to Endowment mind. it was also moved. and second. that Mrs. Walter Crane contact Mr. Good about wiring school in Easter Holidays. The secretary was asked to see the N. F. Board about putting on show in school, as soon as could be arranged for, and that each member was to make six lunches to sell at same. NEW LONDON W. 1.

Mrs. Leigh MacEwen was host- ess to Now London W.I. on Thurs- day April 13th. The meeting open- ed in the usual manner with the president. Mrs. Murray Mackay presiding. Roll call was responded to by twenty-one members with a house cleaning hint. Two visitors attended. Minutes were read. ap- proved and signed. It was decided to send a blanket to Mrs. Norris Sinclair who recently lost her home by fire.

There was no report from school committee and sick reported two calls and treats taken. Letters were read from Eaton's. Maple Leaf Milling Co. regarding their con- test, Rural Beautification, T. B. League. and a very interesting let- tcr on the recent Leadership Course in Charlottetown.

The Government grant of 82.72

was received. Red Cross collectors appointed Miss Elva MacAllister. Mrs. Oliver Bernard. Mrs. R. Cot- ton, and Mrs. Fred Macliiwen. A sale or remnants netted the sum of 30.90. Collection 32.76. ,It was moved and seconded bills of 32.10 be paid. Mrs. Oscar Mac- Kay will be hostess for the May meeting. After singing "The King" lunch was served by hostess and committee.
