MncFADYEN-DINGWELL - A wedding of much interest took pl-ace at the United Church, Char- lottetown, on August 15th at 8 o'clock when Pearle Idelle Ding- w! of Charlottetown became the bride c.f Neil Charles MacI-‘adyen of Charlottetown, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. Mur- dock MacKlnnon, uncle of the groom. The bride chose for her wedding, a street length dress of powder blue with accessories to match, her only ornamene being a corsoge of sweetheart roses. The bridesmaid, Mrs. Harrison Frizzeli, cousin of the bride, wDre a. street length dress of beige and brown crepe, with accessories to match, her wrsage being of yellow roses. The groom was ably supported by Mr. Harrison Frizzell. After the signing of the register and kissing the bride, the bridal party left the church midst a shower o rice and confetti. MRS. MALCOLM MATHESON

On the morning of Sept. 20th, Mrs. Malcolm Malheson passed u- way at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Walter I-Ieartz, East Royalty.

She was the daughter of the late William Large and Elizabeth. Deacon Large, and svas burn at North Wiltshire on April 7A, 1869.

In 1889, she married Malcolm Matheson, C.N.R. section foreman at North Wiltshire, and lived there until her husband was appointed divisional roadmaater, C.N.R,, in 1916, when they moved to Char- lottetown.

To them were born nine sons and daughters, six of whom are left to cherish in loving memory a truly Christian mother. 1-fer hus. ~ band predeceased her in 1027. Don-

ald, Wesi Lynn, Mass, William, West Somerville, Mass, Clifton, Freetown, P.E.I., Stanley, Char- lottetown. Della (Mrs. Walter

I-Ieartz), East Royalty and Mabel Charlottetown, also several grand. children and greatgrandchildren together with o. very large circle of friends, are lcft to mourn.

She was a faithful member of Trinity Unit-ed Church, Charlotte. town, and her pastor, Rev. T. E. MacLennan, conducted the very largely attended funeral services at the home of her son-in-law, Mr. Walter Heartz, and at the United Church. North Wiltshire.

Mrs. Matheson was a woman of truly estimable qualitfu, warm hearted, sympathetic, friendly and held to the highest standards of Christian living always. The world is poorer for the passing of such a fine character, but her life has been an inspiration to those who knew and loved her, and her in- fluence will long be felt by allwith whom she came in contact during a long life of seltforgetiing scr- vice in her home and community.

The morning service in Trinity United Church an October 14th, was conducted by the Rev. W.T. Mercer, Mt. Stewart. Mr. Mercer chose as his text Haggai 1:14 “They canoe and did work m the house of the Lord of hosts. their God." The subject of the sermon was "Building the Church". At this serious time of rebuilding a wrecked world and meeting great need, the irmnediate peril of a people is spiritual un- con-corn. There is a neglect of splr. itual things.
