The annual meeting of the P.E. I. Federation, Home and School Associations was held yesterday afternoon at Prince Wales Col- lege, and was followed by an even- ing concert. in which member groups participated and K. A- Parker. Superintendent of City Schools. spoke briefly on the high- iighis of the meeting.

Death Of Miss Ellen B. Seaman

The death occurred on Tuesday. May 21st. at her residence. 8: Upper Prince Street. of Miss Ellen B. Seaman in her 72nd year.

The deceased was born in Char- lottetown. the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Seaman. After completing her d ” at Prince Street school and Prince of wales College. the late Miss Seaman trained at New Bedford Hospital in Massachusetts. and stayed there for a few years fol- lowing her graduation.

At the outbreak of war in 1914, she Joined the R Chou Ind pro- ceeded to Londo ere she ldlned the Queen Alexandra Imperial Nursing Service Reserves and was slationed in Alexandria. Egypt and the Dardenelles. In 1916 she re- turned to Canada and joined the Canadian Army Medical Corps and was later stationed in France until the conclusion of the war. on her return she Joined the Victorian Order of Nurses at Mon- treal. and was later named Super- visor at Glace Bay. N.S. where she remained until her retin- ment in 1931. She had since been living in Charlottetown.

She is survived by two brothers Aihoi W. in Montreal and RI. Seaman of Charlottetown. and two sisters Bessie M. in New

Brunswick and Lily II. in Char- lottetown.

The funeral will be private. In- terment will take place In the People's Cemetery.
