e was the son of Kenneth MacDonald who was born on the Atlantic Ocean on the way to this province from Scotland. and his wife who was Isabel Jenkins, Mt. Albion.
He moved to Mermaid in ear- ly middle life and then to South- port where he resided for al- most thirty years.
Mr. MacDonald was married to Amelia E. Acorn of Pownal who survives him. They had three children, Seaforth who died in infancy. Kenneth who died when a young man. and Roland who lives on the home- stead where he was a partner with his father in the farming operation.

Mr. MacDonald lived in this province all of his life, with the exception of -five or six years in the United States in early where he learned the carpenter

He worked at his trade for many years here in conjunction ith his farm operations. rebuilt the Southport hatchery and also the Southport wharf. among other construction jobs. He had been engaged on his first wharf job when he was 18
years of age. Mr. MacDonald took a keen every worthwhile
