In pursuance of an Act of the General Assmnhlv of this Island. made and passed in the 27th rear of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, intitnled " An Act to consolidate and amend the sew-ml Laws im- posing.r an AsSi-ssnient on all Lands in this (Moor. and for the Cnt'fnlll‘itgt’ltlt‘ni of Education ;” and. also, of an Act made and piisSed iu the Tliirtieth year of the, same reign, intitiiled in Act to amend the Act relat- ing to Land Assessment. :"

I do herehy publicly I oiify the owners or occupiers of land in this island. for which the annual Assesst‘nent or Assessments charged thereon hy the said recited Acts. or some. one. or more of them. of nine shillings and twopenee. lawful money of this island for every hun- dred acres of wilderness or unimproved lands Contained in the several Townships and the. Islands helontzing' thereto; and the sum of six shillings and eight-pence of' like money for ew-ry hundred acres ot cultivated or improved lands in the said several Townships and Is- lands as aforesaid : and at. the rate of nine shillings and tWo-peime oi like money per hundred acres for wilder- ness or uniniprow-d Town Lots and Pasture Lots in the Town and Royalty of Princetowo; and at. the rate of six shillings and eight-penCe of like money per hundred acres {or cultivated or iniprovml Town Lots and Posture Lots in the Town and Rovalty of Princeton'n as afore- said; and at the me ol tWo shillings and six-pence of like money for each and evcri' Lot in Charlottetown. formerly occupied as the Barrack Square. in proportion to area on the same. footing and to the same. extent as Town Lots in Charlottetown; and the sum of four shillings of like money for each and eVery uncultivated 0r unimproved Town Lot. Common Lot. and \Vater Lot granted in the. Town and Common ol' Charlottetown ; and the. sum of six shillings of like money foi each and every uncultivated or UllllilpriIVetl Pasture Lot in the Royalty of Charlottetown; and the sum of tour shillings of like money for each and ei-‘ery cultivated or llllpl'UVt‘d Pasture Lot. in the Royalty; and the sum of two shil- lings and six-pence. of like money for each and eVery cultivated or improved Town Lot. and \Vater Lot in the said Tovvn; and the sum oi two shillings ot like. money for each and every cultivated or improved Common Lot as sforesaid: and the sum of tom-shillings and eight.- pence of like money for each and eVery uncultivated or unimproved Town Lot. and Water Lot in the Town of Georgetown; and the sum of one shilling and ionr~nence of like money for each and eVery cultivated and im- prOVed Town Lot and Water Lot. in the last mentioned Tow n z and the sum of three Shillings and tour-pence of like money for each and every uncultivated or unim- proved Pasture Lot in the Royalty ofGeorgetown; and the sum of two shillings of like money for each and every cultivated or improVed Pasture Lot in the last men- tioned Royalty ; and the sum of two-pence. oflike money for each and every acre of cultivated or improved land in the Royalty of Georgetown. called " Reserved Landr ;“ and the sum of tliree-pence of like money for each and every acre of curb last mentioned Lands as may be. deemed uncultivated or liiilliipl‘OVed LandS, and so in proportion tor a less quantity.—-is payable; that unless the Assessment. or Assessments for the cur- rent year imposed liy the said recited Acts, or some one or more of them. he paid into my hands, or the hands at any of my deputies.
