The men were commenting on @ pamphlet published Wednes day by Dr. Guy Marcoux, So cial Credit member of the last Parliament and now an inde- pendent candidate in the Nov. 8 election. The pamphlet gave what Dr. Marcoux described as the background of a manoeuvre which enabled the Liberals to take office following the 1963 election which ended in a near stalemate between the Liberals and the Conservatives.

The pamphlet said the step taken by the six led John Dief- enbaker, Progressive Conserva- tive prime minister, to resign and pavedthe way for the gov- ernor-general to invite Liberal Leader Pearson to form a new government.

Mr. Gregoire said~the six members who signed the state ment of allegiance and himself plan to sue Dr. Marcoux for li- bel after the election. The suit would be delayed because court action.-now.. would prevént. .pub- lic discussion of the affair. and also the men involved did’ not want to be tied up in court while the election campaign is in progress.
