Usually so strong‘ and active, much, concern had been felt at hcr failing health for i some time. lt was hoped that the treatment in the P.E.I. and Royal Victoria. Montreal, hospitals would l give relicl anti effect a cure, but following an operation she passed away in Montreal on the morning of Friday, June 18th, 1937, at the comparatively early age of 57 years.

The funeral service was held from the home of Mr. Benjamin W. Taylor to the church, on Sun- day. June 20th. 1937. Her pastor, Rev. Arthur Wallis conducted the service and gave an titldrcss which brought christian comfort to the bereaved husband and family.

The hymns used were: Rock oi Ages, Asleep in Jesus, and The Lord's My Shepherd. The choir sang Sleep On Beloved, which was a specially favourite hymn of the deceased. Mrs, Eldred Wet-ks 0i- lficiated at the organ and Mr.

Convention of Chartered Account~' ants is being held today at the Canadian National Hotel, this b6- ing the first occasion of the con- l vention meeting in Charlottetown. It, is the 35th anniversary of the lincurporation of chartered fw-

The convention will be attended by Messrs. F. A. Nightingale, Halifax. and Austin H. Carr, Tor- onto. President and Secretary Treirttrer respectively of the Do- minion Association of ,Cha.rilered Accountants.

Mr. CEHT is a native of St. Eleanors, this Province, and was for several years associated with Queens University.

Mr. Nightingale, the Dominion tn-esidcnt, as District Governor of Gyro officiated at, the- presenta- tion of the charter to the Char-T lottctown Gyro Club.

This morning's session will be a two and a hall‘ hour discussion on matters of general and interpre- vmcial interest relative to the pro- fessicn.

Last Tribute To Beloved Rector

Citizens by hundreds paid last, tribute to Rev. H. l... Haslnm, rec- tor of Holy Trinity, on Tuesday, as. funeral services were held in his former church, where his body lay in state all that day.

Long before the hour of service parked motors lined the streets tn all dreci-ions as citizens of all Fwths gathered to pay n last trib- ute to the clergyman who for over a decade occupied an important place in the life of Yarmouth.

Canon Cummings. acting rector of Holy Trinity, officiated at the service before a packed congrega- tion, which paid last tribute to the beloved pastor in the draped and flov er banked church. Also taking part in the servce were most Right Rivet-end John Hackcnley. Lord Bishop of Nova Scotia and ten of the clergy.

Floral offerings in tribute of the late rectors association with many fraternal. philanthropic, and social orders were many and striking.
