Price Support For N. S. Apples

OTTAWA (CP)-The federal gov- ernment has given formal approval to a federal support price of 90 mils a bushel for Nova Sr.-otla apples which were blown from the trees by September's hurricane Edna.

A notice in the official Canada Gazette said the government has approved the support price under the agricultural prices support act for "sound orchard apples suit- able for processing" grown In Nova Scotia this year.

The price was agreed on earlier this month at a meeting of federal and Nova Scotia government offi- cials. Apples salvaged from the ground are expected to be used (or canned sauces and juice.
