The death occurred on Thursday' evening, October 11, at the residence oi her nephew, George MacDonald, Vernon, of Mrs. Elizabeth Campbell, widow of the late Angus Campbell. Although Mrs. Campbell had‘ been ‘m failing health for the last few years, her death came as a. shock to her many friends, as she had been able to be around as usual until about a week previous to her death, when she was confined to her bed wherashe gradually grew weaker and fortified by the last rites oi the Catholic Church she calmly breathed her last on the above mentioned date.‘

Mrs. Campbell was a daughter of the late Alexander and Sarah Mac- Donald and was born in Vernon, P. E. 1.. on April 21, i844. She was a lady o! sterling qualities, s clever conversationalist, a devout _' christian and a favorite with all who knew her. In early life she went to San Fran- she married Angus Campbell, who, with their only son, predeceased her many years ago, (Mr. Campbell wss a native oi Priest Pond, P. E. I.)
