Library Nixes Typeerer
Well Students — They've done it again...Last year when the New Library was completed, there were rooms set aside equipped with type- writers. These rooms were made available to students to complete assignments, papers, etc. which profess- ors requested to be typed. On a recent request however, I discovered that these rooms were no longer av— ailable to students, only to professors, who by the way, already have their
own departments with the necessary equipment, includ- ing secretaries. Looks as if the new facilities are once again being denied to the majority for the sake of a few.

On October 29th and 30th. the National Association of Colleges and Universi— ties are meeting in Ottawa. Our University is sending a delegation which will in- clude one student.Because this is the "Year of the Woman"am €the theme of the conference is centered around the role of~women in education, it seems appropriate that the stu— hdent chosen be a female. ' Therefere, we would like some nominations for this position. The person we need should be well—versed in such topics as Women's Rights, the role of women in education, the "Year of The Woman,(is this the first and the last?)and be generally well—versed on contemporary education— al issues. Give it some thought and drop your nom— ination off at the Student Union office or take it to the Student Council Meet- .ing in the Barn on Sept. 28th. at 6:00P.M.
