UPEI Hosts Political Debate in The Pit

The Panther Prints will be hosting a Leadership Debate in the Pit on November 5, at 11:30am. All students are encouraged to attend.

The debate will be run in a different format than the previous Liberal Candidate

Panther Prints editorial board. Kent Driscoll will be moderator, and the specific format of the debate will be as follows:

Each candidate will be allowed two minutes for opening remarks.

Six questions equally relevant to each leader will be asked with one minute 30 seconds allocated for a response.

Each candidate will hold one “wildcard”. This wildcard may be used at any time during another candidate’s response to ask them a question. Each candidate will be able to use this wildcard to, at any time

during someone else’s response, aska question. This question must relate to a previously asked question. This “wildcard” is primarily for making a candidate clarify an ambiguous answer. The wildcard question will be 45 seconds long, and the answer will be one minute.
