This progressive step follow- ed a tremendous year of ac- tivity in Charlottetown during the centennial celebration of the birth of Confederation. With more than 100 conventions held during 1964 the Board of Trade, the City Council and the --Provincial--Governmient began to realize the great potential Charlottetown has as. a conven- tion city.
