tury, tells au amusing story of the ex- plosion of the Petersburg mine. It
sees that a prisoner who had been dug out of the erater was carried to one of the field hospitals. Although his eyes were bunged and his face covered with bruises, be was in a very amiable frame of mind. ‘After this,’’ he said, ‘*I will be the most unpopular man in my regi- ment.
