Yesterday the students o1 P. W. C. were shown the film "Hungry Minds" st special showings for all sections. The comments appear to indicate that among the larger part of the students, knowledge If such happenings wus rather dim until brought before them so graphically. At each presentation of the "film, in addition to the reilular commentary, comments were msde by Keith McKlnnqn, Gordon McLeod and Leith Tier- ney. The projectionist was Paul Cudmore.

At 8.50 hut evening the dfive took to the airwaves. Keith Mc- Kinnon, Gordon McLeod. end Helen Dewar discussed the‘ chief aspects of the drive as it applies in particular to students.

In addition to the eight success- ful candidates pictured in the Civic Election held yesterday ‘w. S. F. Doyle was elected as Coun- cillor for Ward Three over J. Gor- don MacDonald.

Messrs. H. Roy Bevan and J. L Curran were successful candi- dates for the‘ office of Water Com- missldners and with Mr. W. D. Gillis they will constitute the three man Board. Both men were contesting their first election.

The vote in yesterday's Election was the largest east in many years and is regarded as un- usual in that there was no contest
