BOSTON (AP) "— Captain Red Sullivan of New York Rangers has surrendered on a charge of assault and battery that has been hanging fire since March 15.

Sullivan went to a police station to be charged and was released on $50 bail after Sunday night's National Hockey League game between the Rangers and Boston Bruins.

The charge resulted from a fracas last March 15 in which Rangers’ defenccman Lou Foulin- a-to and other Rangers players were accused of charging at spec- tators who heckled them.
