One of the best known writers on occultism, Jacolliot, bas left an ac- count-of certain things he saw during bis official sojourn in India which, as they seem to defy explanation, may fairiy be classed among things incom- prehensible. The performer was one whom he accidentally met and who re- quired some persuasion before he would exhibit feats which, he continually af- firmed, were the work of other intelli- gences.
