OTTAWA, May 14—(CP)- With selections cut to 12 designs, the parliamentary flsg committee to- day spent 1 1-2 hours wrangling over procedure before deciding to continue by ballot the process of elimination.

At the opening of the session the 36 members of the committee who voted on 7d designs of an or- igins] total of 2,500 found lheir vote had centred on s dozen do signs which were on display.

The members will cast another ballot in favor of their choice among the l2 remaining designs in an effort to whittle the number still further. The result of this vote will be announced after the committee meets tomorrow after- noon.
