Enthralled With Ballet

If you ever have to baby sit for 975 children ranging in ages from six to 18 years one sure- fire way to keep them reason- ably quiet and under control would be to take them to a per- formance of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens.

Yesterday afternoon over 975 school children from schools in and around Charlottetown at- tended a two hours performance of Les Grands Ballets Cana- diens.

Many of these are the same children that turn the local mo- vie house into a screaming hell every Saturday afternoon, but not so yesterday. The ballet dancers held their attention and won their approval and appre- ciation.

Now two hours is a long time for even the best behaved child to sit quiet and it seemed at least 800 of the kids, at one time or-another, got up and went in and out, but they did so in a

Of course, there ‘were some who seemed to go in and out about 800 times, but nonetheless even they were not overly dis- turbing.

In fact the most disturbing thing were a few kids of college age who giggled and tittered, whispered and talked and gen-
