TRURO. N. S.. June 18-A Prince Edward Island team Saturday at the nearby Debert ranges won the antiual Inter-Maritime Rifle Cham- pionship. defeating teams from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. The Island team scored a total of 755. Nova Scotia was second with and New Brunswick scored I(-.

It was the fourth consecutive year that the P. E. Island team has won the championship, and the first time that any Province has won the inter-Maritime Trophy that many times lll succession in the fifty-one times that it has been cotnpeterl for. Nova Scotia

has won it 22 t.mes. P. E. I. 15 times and New Brunswick 14 times.

Ralph E. Jenkins of the P. E. I, team was the highest scorer of the tnalcti with a total of 100 out of a possible l0.'i. Coach Landrlgan of the P. E. 1. team was complimented highly at the banquet by members of the other two Provincial learns, who stated that one of their main reasons for losing to the Island team was because it had the best coach In Eastern Canada and one of the best in the whole Dominion.
