I often spell: about mental cases; how the various forms of treatment have enabled mental institutions in cure 8 out of every 10 patients that come under treatment.

Another method is the unravel- ling of the skein of events that has brought the patient to the point where he must enter an institution for treatment. By going back step by step and bringing to light the matter that first started the worry or fear, and showing that ituwas not s0 ‘terrible’ after all, these in- dividuals are made to take a sen- sible view of things and a cure often results.

I have Just been wondering why all of us who are not confined to mental institutions, but who have wondes, fears, and griefa which are always pra nt with us, should not take a leson from this.
