CORPORATE CUP CCMES HCME!

The 1983 edition of the West Royalty Fitness Centre's CORPORATE CUP is now history. This annual "running meet" for Island corporations was held throughout the month of February at the Spa. The big:r winner this year was the U.P.E.I. Student Union Team who walked, jogged and ran away with no less than 9 awards, including the corporate cup itself. The team was made up of eight student union members and was sponsored by the Student Union, with assistance from.

next closest competition ' coming from the Belfast Tobacco Growers with 10 points. of the Student Union Team tore up the track. with their times ahd captured. the following awards: Steve Polenzi‘fastest 1/4 mile—57.6 secs. Elaine Foote—fasted' 21/4 mile— 1 min, 9secs.’ Marlene Costain-fasted 1/2 mile, 2min, 33 secs. Larry MacAdam fasted 1/2 mile, 2 min, 11 sets.

The team also took top honors in the followino

relay races: The 1 mile, the 2 mile, and the Medley

Eelay for the A Division.
