Whether Mullaly gets the AD jobor not, she will still have a job on campus-- her previous position, in charge of other athletic programs. The sad fact is that the university has succeeded in alienating someone who works hard for them.

Letter to the Sports Editor

I noticed that there was a bit of false advertis- ing in last week’s edition of the X-press. In the sports segment a hockey game was scheduled for October 12th but was not actually held. The sports centre knew nothing of this game, nor did the workers at the Civic Centre. I was very

disappointed to say the least. At seven o’clock

I loaded up my car with avid Panther hockey fans. Fifteen minutes later we arrived at the rink. To our dismay the only thing to be seen were little girls taking their figure skating lessons. I think next time the game dates and times should be double-checked.

Correction: My apologies to anyone who believed that the SMU-UPEI hockey game was to be played on Wednesday when it was actu- ally on Saturday night. The schedule of games that I had (which I picked up at the Field House) listed the game as being played on that date. I was not aware of the change until after the article was already in the paper. If you're unsure of game times, check the Guardian or go to the Field House and pick up a pocket program which lists the schedules for all four winter teams. Again, sorry for any mixup. Also, this schedule should not be read by pregnant women, children under four, or peo- ple with asthma, nor should you stare directly into it.

***The men's hockey team does indeed play their home opener for the regular season on Saturday October 22nd, at 7:00 at the Civic Centre. Check at the Fieldhouse for possible pre-game activities, but in any event, head out and support them since they look to be the best unit we've put on the ice in several years.

***Men's basketball plays in a pre-season tournament at UNB the weekend of the 22nd as

well.

***T he Lady Panther's basketball team gets an

early season exhibition game against St. Thomas in Fredericton the weekend of the 22nd also.

***Ficld Hockey team plays in UNB on both the 22nd and 23rd.

*** Men's soccer team plays at home against UNB on the 22nd at 2:00 p.m..

***Ladies' soccer team plays against Mt. Allison on the 23rd in Sackville.
