ATTEMPTED BURGLARY — Early yesterday morning an at- tempt was made to enter the dwelling house on Water Street of Mr. and Mrs. Noel DeBlois, who are at present occupying their sum- mer cottage. A gentleman living nearby was awakened by the noise and on looking out the window saw the culprits. He at once telephon- ed the local police who hastened down, but on their arrival-the in- truders had vanished. They found an open hatch and some goods, evidently taken from the cellar, found with other clues which will be of assistance to the police. who are investigating. A good descrip- tion of the men were also obtained and it is expected arrests will fol- low shortly. '

Col. n. w. B. sprv. O.B.E., v.11, when him at the saluting base were Lieut. Col. Goodeve, District Pay- master, and Major A. C. Campbell, of the R. C. R's. ' Lieut. Col. U. G. Dawson, v.11. commanded the Highlanders, who marched past, first in line, then in column of route, and later in re- view order.
