the tension on the rolls is loosened. or the water may be squeezed out by hand. Do not twist the blanket. Rinse the blanket for about one or two rnlnuws two or three times in clear waters of the some tempera- ture as the wash water. Squeeze or extract the water after each rinse.

If you wash your blankets by hand instead of in a washing ma- chine, observe these same precau- tions: never rub or twist them, but squeeze them in the water; keep the rinsing water the same tem- perature as the wash water.

Blankets may be mothproofed by dissolving a. oiwkflsed mvthvrovf- lng powder in the last rinse water.

Hang the blankets lengthwise on the line to dry. Pull it gently into shape while drying. Shaking the blanket occasionally while drying will help raise the nap. I! it is_ brushed with a. clean whisk broom when thoroughly dry. the blanket will be more fluffy. After the blanket is dry, pull the binding straight and press it (the binding only) with a. moderately heated iron to restore its smoothness.
