What impressed me mdst on any visit to Victoria. were the beauti- ful Butchart Gardens, which are io- cated Jlhmiles from the City. After some ‘years the supply 0t limestone was exhausted and-these large quarries were made into sunken gardens, the flofwersyloiingp and waterfalls ‘being beautiful beyond description.

The ‘big attraction for Vancoulv- er is Staniey Park, with its 1,000 acres of almost primeval forest. This park covers a point of land adjoining the city and is almost, surrounded by water. There is a tine. ashphait road all round this lPark and it is a most beautiful drive. At the entrance to the Park. there is a large pavillion, where lunches are served and at which we were entertained during our visit by the City Fathers and the lPubliclty Bureau.

The next outstanding point of i11- terest in Vancouver is Shaughnes- sy Heights-the high class residen- tial part of the City. All this land was originally owned by the C.
